Pastor Terrance Kennedy was called into the ministry in November 2009, licensed in 2010 and ordained in 2014. He has been a member of Gethsemane Garden of Prayer Church for 26 years. For the last 15 years, Pastor Kennedy has been serving as the youth minister and Sunday School Superintendent under the Pastoral Leadership of Charles E. Hendrix Sr.

In November 2023, he began serving as the interim Pastor of Union Institutional Baptist Church and as of April 7, 2024, he was officially installed as Pastor of UIBC.

Pastor Kennedy is a proud native of South Phoenix, Arizona. As a member of the community, he has been fully committed to passionately ministering to the youth of the community through coaching, mentoring, officiating, and volunteering for various organizations to help spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.

He and his wife, Kyra, have been married since 2008. They are proud parents of Taniah Kennedy who is currently a student at South Mountain Community College. Terrance and Kyra also serve in ministry as passionate foster parents to provide a safe and healthy environment for the youth.
